Interesting concepts...

The only one I guessed correctly at first sight was hunni-bun.

If these beings existed in real life, they'd be scary as hell. We need such creatures in this world.

I like this little sketch for some reason...dunno why. Maybe because the guy is cute & aggressive at the same time.

Impressive, I gotta admit. That's quite a work ethic, & ambition to match!

I see the NG mascot low on the right side, just above the insectile-looking Pac-Man character...don't recognize any of the others. (If it's not obvious, I'm fairly new here) What kind of paint did you use in doing this mural? Some of the lines look a bit too sharp for an airbrush or spraycans.

This also reminds me of my graffiti period, an eon ago. It's good to see the art hasn't died out despite security cameras being present damn near everywhere. Again, excellent work.

Not too much at all. It just needs some development. Like will this be cute, or big & scary, or just really weird?...figure out what you're going for with this piece & then start pushing the envelope.

Thanks for the feedbak

Katy needs meds... But seriously, I like this one. For once, a cartoon character that isn't trying to be cute.

Thanks

I dig the concept...

Interesting that you incorporated the symbol for radioactivity into it.

Yeah, I dig this illo. It's right up my alley (If anyone still uses that expression anymore)

It could use a background...nothing too elaborate. Just something to make the crow & skull pop off the picture plane. Or maybe a shadow under the skull, so it isn't just floating in space. But it's still good.

Had thought of drawing a raven perched on a skull myself, but now I'll have to think of something else. >|-D

Guess they shouldn't have used the seasoning they ordered from that guy on the deep web...

Normally I don't go for anime/manga stuff, but this one is good...for once, a piece where the subject isn't just looking cute.

She looks shocked. Understandably so.

Nice work. What program/app did you render this in?

smashbrethren responds:

Thanks! It makes me happy to know that even if the viewer isn't too interested in anime/manga they can find something to enjoy in my work :D

I do all my sketching and coloring in paint tool sai but I specifically do the linework in clip studio paint since it has a lot of convenient tools to help clean it up.

sai is a lot more barebones feature wise but it's light weight and easy for lower end computers/laptops (i.e mine) to run, i'm sure those who are a bit more tech/art program savvy could make better use of clip studio's vast array of tools but the learning curve to really master that program is a little high for me (especially since i hate trying to pick up new programs)......

It's not as alien as you think. I've seen an orange sky like that where I live, once so far... Seriously, it happened. And then of course there's California every time half the state burns because they don't allow selective logging & clearing of underbrush...but I digress.

Not bad overall. The piece has that traditional feel even though it's digital. The only drawback is it's a bit heavy on the left side. I understand why: you didn't want to centralize the composition, which makes sense. But it could stand to be _slightly_ less unbalanced. Still, it's a very good painting overall.

Artist in various media (mostly traditional), craftsman & general DIYer. I make no guarantee of regular posting--work will go up as circumstances permit.
