The bear looks cute & slightly sinister at the same time...interesting.
They worshipped, so they said, the great Old Ones who came to the young world out of the sky. They were gone now, inside the earth and under the sea. But their entombed bodies had told their secrets in dreams to the first men, who formed a cult that would always exist, until the time "when the stars are right", great Cthulhu from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh beneath the waters would rise...
Now THIS is how a golem should look...not some unimpressive mud-man. He's huge! His only shortcoming is that he has no legs to run down victims with, but since he started as a tree that's probably part of the gig. I wouldn't have thought it was digital unless it was labeled!...looks like the kinda pen & watercolor work I wish I could do.
Thanks alot!
He looks like he could whip Hellboy's ass...
Not bad but the eye seems a bit out of place...it would also be more effective if it was glowing green or dark orange instead of white with a tiny circle for a pupil. But the overall texture & color is great!
Nice. Maurice Sendak would love this.
Excellent! The only thing it needs is either upping the contrast a bit, or use better lighting when you take a picture of the illo. The white areas look faded & gray. Other than that, however, it is fantastic.
It's good to see someone else working in the old media on here, instead of doing everything with a stylus & pad. The skin tones & demure expression are the best parts. Very nice.
Thanks man! Yeah there's something so powerful about working with real physical materials that just can't be replicated with digital tools.
I like it... Is he a knight or a hired merc?
The guy looks like he could fight Frazetta's Death Dealer...& maybe even win!
He is more of a marauder type of guy. Fighting for the sake of fighting :)
