The colors are good; the pose is definitely good..."on the prowl", indeed. But there is only so much you can do on a surface as small as a phone screen. A real sketchbook & pencils, pens, etc. would serve you far better. The grass & trees could stand to be more plantlike. Anyway, she's hot for a furry cartoon. ;-)

Flikki responds:

Yeah, the phone screen is rather limiting, but it's nice for when you're away from the computer and you don't have the sketchbook with you.

Thanks for the comment though! I'll be sure to spend more time with the plants next time.

If you haven't heard of him or know who he is, websearch "Ned Kelly". This character reminds me of the armor he fabricated for his armed robberies.

DancwartVonTronje responds:

You are correct. He is indeed based on Ned Kelly, according to Earndil (the player) :3

Sooo relatable!... *thumbs up*

Would this be Scrunglus II (of eastern Gaul) or the emperor/philosopher Scrunglus Phallus?...

But seriously, it ain't bad. He looks quite proud of himself, which makes sense.

DancwartVonTronje responds:

You made revisit my history homework >:(

Turns out his full name is "Flavius Pubicus Scrunglus"

Is he Mothra's little brother?

(You know someone was gonna ask...)

SourCherryJack responds:

Inquiries into Mothman’s relationship to Mothra remain inconclusive

Well ain't _this_ a cute little number...

But seriously, the colors pop. Did you mean to make them that bright? They're almost reminiscent of 60's rock concert posters. Kind of odd to pair these bright colors with two pistols but why not? I'm just glad you didn't draw her too skinny...this girl has meat on the right bones. ;)

CobaltRogueX responds:

Thanks!

Yeah, I've been experimenting with a bag of 160 copic markers I recently bought and used mostly pastel pink, lemon, blue, and some light green and purple markers for the background to see what I'd get. Used much darker blues for the girl's shading. I'm just glad my scanner was able to pick everything up!

I'm glad you like it! I was looking at old 60's and 70's pulp paperback paintings and got a little inspired.

Very nice.

Could use some cool color in a couple places to balance out all the warm tones but other than that, it works.

Clickedmun responds:

Thank you! definitely working on that

You are a fan of Rat Fink, I presume...

This is the first digital piece I've ever faved. There's a kind of contradiction there, in that it is a purely digital work with a medieval subject. That makes it rather interesting...

Wouldn't call this piece "photorealistic" as others here have, but it doesn't need to be. To me it looks like something painted in acrylics or gouache. The water in the moat would not necessarily be that blue...blue water is in the ocean. A small pond (which is what a moat is, basically--the castle is the island in it) would be murky & greenish. But overall, a great piece.

EyeballEarth responds:

Thanks for the feedback. A traditional look is what I often go for despite drawing digitally, with vaying success, cool to hear it kinda worked out here.

Not bad. What program did you render this in? The lighting effects are very good.

His shades look a lot like mine!...I don't have body armor like that, though. >|-D

EyeballEarth responds:

Thanks! Did it in Krita. Guess the body armor would be kinda uncomfortable, better just wear the shades lol

Artist in various media (mostly traditional), craftsman & general DIYer. I make no guarantee of regular posting--work will go up as circumstances permit.
