Millions of retirees & other American citizens came here specifically to not have to deal with this nonsense. Now the entire South is catching this "polar storm" or whatever it is...
Anthropogenic climate change is a bitch. Anyone remember what happened in Texas a few years ago?...guess we're gonna hafta get used to this.
When I start planning my house build, I'll have to insulate the plumbing.
Addendum: I have reason to complain, because my main chronic condition often flares up in response to extreme temperatures. It's been doing that, off & on, for a few weeks now
what chronic conditions do you have anyway? if you don't mind saying. you've mentioned them several times now and i'm curious
First, full marks for paying attention. I didn't think anyone on NG was actually tracking what I posted here. Secondly, the main one involves head pain, vertigo (dizziness) & ringing in the ears. Initially I was told I have Meniére's disease, but in late 2024 I learned that was incorrect... Still don't know exactly what it is, but "vestibular migraine" is the most likely diagnosis. That is the worst thing I have, currently (though not the most embarrassing).
