In the dreams, in the dreams,
you're younger; you move faster
No pain in joints, the hips, the back...
Your body is not your master
until you wake up & learn--again--
that "Father Time" is a cold bastard.
How was your Christmas? I had a nasty flareup* yesterday afternoon...I took a few photos of my paintings, imported them into my ancient laptop, & managed to edit two of 'em anyway. The finished pieces will go live this Friday & a few days after that. Stay tuned, folks!

yo, i don't celebrate xmas, nor new year, nor birthdays, nor mom days, nor father day, nor anything but easter and sabbath (kinda). But my friends keep inviting me to stuff, so i have drank some beer (a lot one day), ate a lot and ting. New year i plan to go nowhere
Also, cool verse, i'm listening to a dramatic doom metal song called "Drive me to the Grave"

Thanks. Wrote that a while ago in one of my not-so-bueno moments. (I only write poetry when sufficiently gloomy)
That tune ain't too bad...the vocals could use some improvement but the rest of it works. I found something a bit more upbeat--for lack of a better word--on the same channel: https://youtu.be/0onGmPgS7_M?si=skOMezok3z-0w49e
Dunno how much that Pale Horse band knows about it, but their rant-song is based on the old sell-your-soul-for-talent "crossroads" myth. The great bluesman Robert Johnson told that story when he was alive.
