my attempt for Sexytember

Last week I noticed the keyword was "Feather". Been into experimenting with nonstandard objects as art tools since early this year...I do happen to have a few feathers lying around. Inevitably I put two & two together & thought, why not?

Then, well...um....

...yeah.

Am pretty sure this wouldn't make it. It is objectively the shittiest painting I've done since I started using ink & brushes. That's a goose feather taped to the aesthetic atrocity.

Sorry, @Zilu7...I tried, dear. Not every experiment succeeds. I did learn a few things, though.

Edit: Looks like it made it in after all. Am scratching my head over this at the moment.

Feel free to critique it, folks. I know it ain't great.

This is so cool!! I love experimental things like that!! You definitely get points for the most original use of the prompt. Fantastic! ??

Are you going to post it? have you posted it?

If you dig it that much, okay...are you a fan of Willem de Kooning's work, by any chance?

It's up now (0842 EST).

How in the flying Philadelphia phuck did I make her look like she's into her 2nd trimester, facryinoutloud...

@ShadenLines YAY!

Hmm. You know, putting aside your 'tough-self-critique', I think that it's not that bad. It could be better, not gonna lie, but, hey, you tried it, and you actually made a firm, 'more-than-decent' try, so... I won't be so harsh with myself, if I were you (mostly, if I did try my very best.) Keep going.

Thank you. Of course I'll keep going. This piece was a learning experience. One new fact: feathers make interesting brush strokes, but are useless after the first two minutes!
