Sam Harris has his drawbacks, but on this subject he got it right.

Say what you want about the attacks. You can claim it was all a false flag by a multi-level conspiracy involving the FBI/the CIA/State Dept./the Jews/the Bush II administration/Israel/lizard men/Martians/Jewish lizard men from Mars if you like. (I don't buy that) You can bring up US foreign policy & depending on what points you make, you might be right. I will readily admit that our government has not always treated other countries well...empire, &/or thwarting another imperial power as we did for decades, is always a dirty business. You could bring up other factors behind the attacks, too. And you may well be right on every reply you utter.

But none of the above changes the ultimate cause, the theological imperative that drove the 19 hijackers to do what they did. The rationale (if that is a suitable word) for it can be seen in their religion's founding scripture & the many commentaries on it, & on the founder's words & actions. The effects of that hostile memeplex can be found all over the Middle East, North Africa...& these days, throughout western Europe & sizable swathes of the United States.

I may do one or two pieces on this subject. Haven't decided yet...put it this way: if I do, they will draw on parts of a track record. For now I will only remember the dead, the planes hitting the towers & their subsequent collapse, the bombings in London & Paris...& October 7th, 2023.

i still believe it something the deep state did, america does that, take operation northwoods for an example. I tried to talk with muslims before, but none of they did read all the quran like i did read all the bible to see if there's something there that endorses those violent behaviours. I have met some muslims before, and they looked like common people, i don't think it something just because the religion, there is something behind it, the fine weapons they have, for me let it clear that there are rich people behind it

On who did 9-11, my friend, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't trust the fedgov either, but I also don't believe they had it together enough to pull all that off at the time.

There are Biblical passages that are the same way, for example a few parts of Exodus are about God's command to the Hebrews to enter Canaan & annihilate the tribes there (they didn't entirely succeed at it), Numbers 31, etc. The difference is that aside from the more hard-core West Bank settlers & some people in Netanyahu's government, Jews don't take those writings literally. Judaism doesn't have holy war as a specific part of its doctrine. Christianity in general has moved a long way from the Crusades & Inquisition. Islam, on the other hand....

You're right about one thing: certain rich people were behind the attacks, for sure.

@ShadenLines well, i surely can't talk much about islam, since i never read the quran, nor had many contact with muslim people (as i do with christians), but i can talk about the bible (judaism and christianism) and yeah, never will you see (specially in the christian part) such things as to war and kill people. In the old testament we have a context for the wars that did happen there. Other thing you're right, those jews in israel nowadays (specially the ones in the government) doesn't take the torah that seriously, it's more of a political thing indeed. I just still think that muslim violence thing is more of a political thing, you know, something bigger behind using the islam as a figurehead. But i would have to take the time to understand the islam doctrines like i did with the judaism/christianism to see if those violent behaviours really is something rooted in their belief
