when trump talks about immigrants i don't think he means every single immigrant in the usa (specially the worker ones the corporations care for), they probably are aiming to the "undesirable" ones, let's put it like that. Here in brazil we have exactly the opposite way of trump thinking, everyone is "welcome" here, ironically nobody (specially developed countries) wants to change to brazil lol), in the brazilian states that are border with such countries as venezuela and colombia you can find many immigrants. Here in santos they drop many hobos, junkies, ex-convict, etc ("undesirable" people), some neighborhoods have a bigger concentration of those people, such neighborhoods suffer with criminality, vandalism, grafitti, devaluation and such, take a look at Santos downtown in this video (made by another brazilian though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A2i34CJ5aw
Santos downtown used to be a lively place full of commerce, now it looks like a ghost neighborhood, closed, stores, full of grafitti, junkies, prostitutes (at night), etc. I really wish santos were an enchanted wealthy land were everyone that put their feet here turn into a great person, but unfortunately things doesn't work like that

That's not good...but from where I stand, Forever78 didn't make the point he thought he was making.

The main thoughts I had were "you vatos are crazy, riding bikes in traffic" & "why does Santos only have one-way streets?"

Now sure, the neighborhood ain't great. It does look rather poor...though even there, some of the women are pretty. (I think that's Latin America in general: lots of hot chicks) However if you think that's bad, here's a recent news segment on downtown SF:

Here's a walking tour of a YouTuber's hometown in Minnesota, two weeks ago:

Consider that the footage was taken in the United States...a nation far wealthier &, to an extent, more organized overall than Brazil or any equivalent country.

@ShadenLines yo, keep in mind santos is one of the best cities here in brazil, like the number 3 best city to live here. About the one way streets it's actually pretty simple, it's not a big city and we don't have that many cars here like new york or something.
The streets in the usa look way better than the streets here in brazil, they look just like the games and the movies, while santos looks like a ghost city lost in the past. Also no way to live here in brazil in a house without a big wall in front to protect it like people do in minnesota

But yeah, america is getting messed up, it's looking a bit like brazil already. When i talk to you and other americans you guys are like "man kiled america, my home sweet home", the minnesotta video really did make me feel it

"Man Killed America" is a song released in 1991, i had to reference it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g5q27XPY9U

and brazilian women are the best

There should be a "mixed feelings" emoji for the comment reaction list...

The video was shot in Minneapolis, specifically. In MN (Minnesota) Minneapolis & St. Paul are the "twin cities" of the state. Both have their problems but I dunno which one is worse. Once you get out of the urban jungle & into the smaller towns, things change. Small towns have crime too but most of 'em are not like the major cities. In the South (particularly the Southeast, where I am) the drug problem is ubiquitous...what you see are lots of drug labs out in the woods. The guys who run them supply the dealers, who sell both in the towns & run the product into the cities for the addicts there. There used to be plenty of hidden marijuana gardens too, but since pot was legalized in over 20 states so far the situation is changing. (You can grow it legally now!)

After reading all your comments, I feel like visiting Santos now... What I'd really like to do is wander off the beaten path & check out Brazil's countryside. What are the farming communities like? What's the food like out there? Are they friendly toward clueless Yanquis like me?

@ShadenLines wow, here in brazil they legalized hang around with 40g of weed, 20 states already legalized weed? I'm sure out of what going on in america, now no wonder $1 was <R$ some time ago.
I really don't think brazil is a good place to visit, like i only hang around here at Santos at the good parts and only go to places like downtown if i'm really forced to, like if i have something bureaucratic to do that can only be done there.
The best parts of countryside would be in the south, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, those places looks a bit like germany but in brazil, one of the best places in brazil, if not the best, it also is cold there for us brazilians, not so cold like america or europe
There are some countryside here in the state of São Paulo, but i have never went to one but for work purposes
I have family in the brazilian northeast (the redneck places), Bahia specifically, another rural place, but many places in the northeast looks like africa (google search "sertao brazil" to see a bit of it). Also the roads in northeast are horrible, full of holes and ting
Countryside is not much of a field i get stronger, i say i'm a "cityfag", you know, computers, apartments, etc
Brazilian people are kind, but many can't speak english, specially in the poor places such as northeast, brazilians are also know to be "cheatsy" so some may try to take advantage of gringos, to be in an underdeveloped country is like life is a game and playing that game in hard mode
and brazilian women are not that easy, many are smart (specially the hottest ones), and some are too dumb, she wouln't understand anything you say in english and prefer a poor favela dude rather than a gringo
