wars and rumours of wars...

There have always been wars & rumors of wars...in every age where men have written things down, there's been at least one war going on somewhere. Global conflicts, now...that's a whole different ballgame. Up to now, nothing has ever matched world wars 1 & 2.

@ShadenLines 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Matthew 24:6-7
21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Matthew 24:21-22

That's all from from the NT...you are a Christian, then? I'm not & never have been, but that's just me. If following the Nicene creed (or whatever creed Christians subscribe to now) gives your life meaning & is a source of solace, then I'm happy for you. Met quite a few Christians in my life so far, but admittedly I haven't met too many from Latin America. Closest I've come to that is a few 1st- & 2nd-gen Mexican-Americans.

@ShadenLines yo, yeah, i'm a bit christian. Here in latin america mostly of the people are christians, at least in theory. Are you a jew or something? have no religion or other religion? Anyway we good my friend, i respect that

Also, apparently the latest trend in online porn (at least in Newgrounds-Land) is oversized nipples & areolae.

Why??

@ShadenLines From my perspective, nothing has changed in that regard. Ever since Putin's Russia released images of their "Kinzhal"* in March 2022 it has been made clear that he will take as much as he wants or that he will destroy what he cannot get. Which also summarizes his invasion of the Ukraine, given that Russia doesn't have the troop to occupy all of the Ukrainian territory. He is an egomaniac megalomaniac who, given time, will destroy...
well, 'everything', really. He will not stop with the Ukraine.

As for the areolae-question: Maybe it's a sign that a more internet-savvy generation is growing older. Worsening eyesight and all that... ;p
I for one welcome 'variety in eroticism', so I hope no trend is 'here to stay' in that regard.

You're probably right. Xi is the same way, but smarter & more patient. He's better at playing the long game--east Asians have those tendencies--so while Putin is definitely more aggressive, Xi is actually the more dangerous one. China's regime has its tentacles of influence thoroughly enmeshed in American society now.

@ShadenLines (What am I doing with my life... Discussing politics on the 'famous political community newgrounds.com'... ;) )

China's political leaders have the problem that 'whatever country they want to "conquer"' must be severely underdeveloped, or, no matter how harshly they enforce their censorship, a flash flood of historically accurate information will be circulated by "their new people". And since it's not 'dirty foreigners' but rather "your new neighbors", more people will believe that information.
The topic is way more complex in its entirety, but they could never take over (say) the Ukraine by violent means. They would be eying barely developed or extremely run down territories on pars with North Korea. (But not North Korea itself. Their relations with North Korea as a legal slave market work way too well for that.)

They 'have' been making advances to essentially "buy out" parts of Europe ever since the Clinton era - maybe even before that. Chinese investors are extremely eager to take control of Europe's critical infrastructure - stuff like waterworks or companies that could apply political pressure in particular.

They've been buying out parts of the US, too...in more than one way. Am not gonna explain it because it would be a huge text wall & no one on NG wants to read all that.

I see China as currently holding to its basic pattern since the state of Ch'in swallowed up the other petty states (albeit briefly) & since Han Fei Tsu promulgated his legalistic philosophy.

Take it easy, Yatsu. When you discuss politics with _me_, you don't have to be "in it to win it". (Online political debates are like the Special Olympics: even if you win--however you define "win"--you're still acting retarded.) I post things like this to see what my followers are thinking, as much as anything else. If you disagree with a position I take, fine. All I ask is that you explain why...preferably with logic & evidence, so I have something to think about. Just saying "no. You suck" ain't good enough...But you, sir, are not the kind of person to post the usual shit. I can tell.

@ShadenLines In hindsight, I realize how "discussing politics" was a poor choice of words on my part. I should have written "talking about topic which fall into the political spectrum"...
But who's gonna read all that? ;3

I would say I have similar views on... talking about "political" topics. When it comes to it I mainly share information 'as I know and understand it'. In a world where political discussions have become 'opinion-based' rather than _fact-based_, I just don't feel motivated to put in the effort to dig out sources. If readers (in general) genuinely want to know more, there's always Wikipedia.

I'm just on NG for the art. :)
