i was imagining they were going to reduce it since there is a big chance of trump getting elected, and the market shown after trump survival the market wants trump, with lower interest rates less money on the banks and more on the corporations.

And my view of what's going on in Brazil--in most of Latin America, actually--is blurry too. Turnabout is fair play... But seriously, most Americans don't know much about events outside our borders. Mainstream/legacy news media usually isn't too reliable here since it's not only biased but superficial. I'm not like most of us here; however my attention is on the East. Near _and_ far. That's where the action is.
Re LatAm - I check on Mexico because it's right next door to us & is basically a failed state. Perhaps I should look at the countries south of Mex more often.
